New Skater Clinics

Are you or your skater new to junior roller derby? Join us for three Sunday Clinics before our main season starts in October!

Our adult coaches and some of our veteran league skaters will be there to teach you the basics of roller derby: How the sport works, how to play it, and more.

They’ll also go over and practice the skating skills you need to get started.

WHEN: We have three clinics. All skaters should plan to attend ALL THREE as lessons taught in each clinic are carried over and built upon in the next.
Session 1: September 13th - 8:15-10:30 AM
Session 2: September 20st - 8:15-10:30 AM
Session 3: September 27th - 8:15-10:30 AM

HOW MUCH: $75 (3 sessions)

WHERE: Southgate Roller Rink (9646 17th Avenue SW)

WHO: You! Southside Revolution is an Open league. Any gender aged 7-18 can attend. Skaters who are coming from other leagues must attend so our coaches can assess skills and add skaters to the appropriate roster.

Rebels/Rivals: Level 4 (advanced full contact)

Rivals is composed of female-identifying skaters from our Alliance and Rebels rosters. This team allows us to play JRDA-sanctioned games against regional girls division teams. Rivals practices with the Rebels.

Rebels is SSR's highest skill travel team – these skaters compete regionally and nationally in multiple JRDA-sanctioned tournaments against Open division teams during the season. Rebels practice two to three times a week. All skaters interested in becoming part of SSR’s travel team are required to try out every year. This year's tryout is October 4. Sign up for the Rebels/Rivals tryout if you are interested.
